Great Kai Planet

Great Kai Planet is a planet in the animes Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT located in the Other World. It is the home of the Grand Kai (Dai Kaiō), and the planet where the galaxy's greatest heroes (including Son Goku) can go to and train after they die, and enter the Other World Tournament.

Grand Kai holds a Tournament here, in honor of the North Kaio's death, which Goku and Pikkon are the finalists of. The prize is to be a private training lesson with Grand Kai, but he disqualifies Goku and Pikkon on a technicality-for touching the arena's ceiling- after seeing their extreme strength.

North Kaio (english dub King Kai) also makes this planet his home, as his own was destroyed by Cell in the Cell Games Saga.

When Kuririn and Yamcha are eaten by Majin Buu, they also go here to train, where they fall back into their old lives as sharpened fighters. However, Buu in his Kid Buu form comes there to destroy the place, after blowing up the Earth, looking for Goku and Vegeta. They lure him away, and the Great Kai Planet is spared.

It can be assumed that years after Dragonball GT all of the Z Fighters are reunited on the Great Kai's planet to live forever together, competing in Otherworld fighting tournaments and training happily. This includes Piccolo, who was banished to Hell to save Goku, yet was promised by Goku himself he would one day leave.
