Great Glass Elevator is an Experimental/Pop band formed in Orange County, California in 2004. They are currently signed to Atlantic Records. They have self-released two EPs and plan to put out another in early 2007 to precede their debut full-length. They are known for their unorthodox approach to pop songwriting, quirky lyrics, and energetic live shows that often feature strange projected visuals and/or outlandish costumes, including giant primates, Alice in Wonderland characters, and dark cowboys. The members of Great Glass Elevator have disclosed little about their origin and formation, further provoking fans to attempt to dissect the band's oft-bizzare antics.
