[edit] Apostrophes

Hi, regarding your question on apostrophes here, they are used to mark possession, but the rule is 'reversed' when dealing with pronouns. So it is "hers" not "her's", and "its" not "it's". See "No apostrophe is used in the following possessive pronouns and adjectives" in Apostrophe. Regards, Ziggurat 01:41, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Graveenib, I can only echo what Ziggurat says above. It's a really common error in grammar to mistake "it's" and "its". I correct roughly 100 of them a day here on WP. "It's" only means "it is" (or more rarely, "it has"). "It's" never means "belonging to it". See this site, or this site, or other grammar sites online. As I say, though, it's a very common mistake, so don't feel bad. Happy editing! :) --Firsfron of Ronchester 01:51, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
