[edit] Request
Since I last looked at the Halo weapons articles I come and find that they were deleted and that no copy of them appears to remain. I spent a great deal of work on those articles and am rather dismayed to see them gone. I would like to get a copy of those articles and all related articles to keep for myself. So far as I can tell 3 pages have been completely deleted and I can't get the information back.
Specificaly the following articles.
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_weapons_in_Halo:_Combat_Evolved
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_weapons_in_Halo_2
Can you help me? Alyeska 20:13, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
The first page used to be more then a redirect, it had the entire article before someone else split it up. Anyway, thank you. Alyeska 19:09, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bob Ricci
Hi, I'm the one who recently edited Bob Ricci's music page, and I used the information from his myspace page and I guess it wasn't exactly objective. I didn't mean to get his entry deleted, I just thought that the write up that was there was kinda short and uninformative. I'm wondering if you'd reconsider because now I feel bad. I know for a fact that the article wasn't started by Bob Ricci, but I think it's my fault that it got removed. If you want 3rd party reassurance that he belongs on here, do a simple google search on "Bob Ricci" in quotes. I'm showing 24,000 matches and lots of third party references to him. Plus, his song "She Blocked Me" is currently availabe on Ebaum's World, Albinoblacksheep.com, and a ton of other sites. He also passes WP:MUSIC since it's been on the charts in Canada, UK, Australia, and even Germany (due to a flash video being done by a German fan) and is also on regular rotation on actually quite a few radio stations even in the US (check his site for a list of upcoming radio interviews he has on actual stations) He's also in rotation on National Lampoon's official satellite radio station. We fans have been able to collaborate a complete discography of his CDs and also unreleased material here on WP, and it's a shame to see it go. I hope you'll take this into consideration.
Also, in his deletion discussion, somebody mentioned the fact that "anybody with a CD burner can have a CD for sale", but Bob Ricci is on iTunes, and not "anybody with a CD burner" can be on iTunes. They have a strict screening policy. I know this first hand cause I can't get myself on there for the life of me. Read their policy. So label or not, he's recognized as a musician, and there are a lot of noted musicians who forgo a label in the music industry's current state. There also seemed to be a fair amount of posts supporting that the article remain, and it seems as if the people who argued for deletion didn't really research very much. They simply said that the article was written for vanity (which was an objective opinion with no support) or that Bob wasn't notable enough (which doesn't make sense to me because of the sheer amount of info out there on him), or that he didn't pass WP:Music, but he does by a few stipulations if you'd do the research.
I'm all for what WP stands for and believe me, if I didn't feel that Bob deserved to be on here I wouldn't be making these arguements. But I feel that he more than qualifies. Just because a few WP admins haven't heard of him doesn't mean he's on here for vanity. And as I said, his WP page was created and maintained by his fans. Dragonjrc 00:37, 19 August 2006 (UTC) I agree, Bob Ricci is a notable artist and maybe you should just do one simple search on something to check the validity. No he doesn't need to be on here, but there is no reason why he shouldn't be. Dragonjrc 00:37, 19 August 2006 (UTC) JRC
[edit] Archive
Hey I just stumbled upon your talk page and saw your 4th archive is labeled "pre- and post- admin". Might I suggest you change that? Post-admin makes it appear like you aren't an admin anymore. Maybe post-RfA? Keep on keepin' on, Metros232 16:18, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stop by?
Hi, I noticed you were the closing admin on deletion for Silly Hats Only Productions. Well, one remnant of the 'viral' advertisement is still around, User talk:Mastern. I normally wouldn't take it to an admin, but they've repeatedly blanked out the talk page, and seem to ignore the WR templates (I left 3). Basically, I think if an admin confirmed what I've explained to them concerning not removing warnings, it should all be good. In case it gets blanked again, this is the version I am talking about. Thanx! — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 11:34, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Block
Alright, I think I got the autoblock cleared, and my college is once again able to edit. Thanks for responding so quickly though, and no hard feelings. --InShaneee 02:50, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Wow, seriously? That's...kind of frightening. I only knew of one...can you point me to any of them? --InShaneee 23:02, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] That was rude
Please do not speedy delete articles while I'm in the midst of writing them and providing verifiable sources. That was plain rude. If you dispute the notability of this internet celebrity, take it up with WP:AFD. Thanks! RFerreira 22:36, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'll restore it and bring it to AfD, just give me a minute. Grandmasterka 22:39, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

- Thank you. If you were responsible for deleting Leslie and the Ly's, please restore that as well. I have faith that both of these articles meet and exceed our WP:BIO and WP:MUSIC guidelines for inclusion. RFerreira 22:41, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
You proposed Rise Records for deletion, which I created. I believe the article is about a subject relevent enough to warrant an article. Anyhow, I do realize the article is lacking, so I added to it specifically stating it's importance. If you could look at the recent additions I made to the article hopefully you could tell me if you think it is good enough, or maybe if more work needs to be done. Thank you! Dark jedi requiem 02:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, I did change Catherine after your suggestion (a dumb mistake on my part) and thanks for "Your contribution history is much more impressive than I was expecting", since I'm shooting for adminship sometime before I die. I will work more on Rise Records as much more needs to be done. Thanks again. Dark jedi requiem 06:08, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Teke's RfA thanks
Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke(talk) 17:52, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Long-Overdue RfA Thanks from Alphachimp
Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which was successful with a an overwhelmingly flattering and deeply humbling total of 138/2/2 (putting me #10 on the RfA WP:100). I guess infinite monkey theorem has been officially proven. Chimps really can get somewhere on Wikipedia.
With new buttons come great responsibility, and I'll try my best to live up to your expectations. If you need assistance with something, don't hesitate to swing by my talk page or email me (trust me, I do respond :)). The same goes for any complaints or comments in regard to my administrative actions. Remember, I'm here for you. [edit] Hi Grandmasterka
I got your Welcome message on my Talk page. I'm still fairly new at this, and only just decided to get an account on Wikipedia.
As the name implies, I am from Canberra, ACT (the capital of Australia). I'm not sure how you send me email via Wikipedia as I have put my email address on my Wikipedia account details. Cheers, Canberra User 19:37, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adminship
Just wanted to say congrats on your adminship appointeé (even though its a little belated). Also, i like the commerical districts you added to the Template:Minneapolis neighborhoods. I noticed a lot of the nieghborhood pages need work so i think i am going to add that to the list of things to do for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Minnesota, but feel free to contribute if you can. Thanks!--Gephart 17:34, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bobby Vitale
I have noticed when you closed the above AfD, you did not remove the category template, "REMOVE THIS TEMPLATE WHEN CLOSING THIS AfD". By deleting this when closing it pulls the discussion out of the category. I have deleted it from this discussion, but if you could review any other closures you have done recently and remove the tag from them it would be greatly appreicated. Thanks. --Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 02:04, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Cool observation! Nothing agatnst the UK here :-)!! I think that the flag rule is stupid too. I miss Old Glory. What's wrong with showing a little national pride? That was what was good about my sig! - Mike | Patch 01:30, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Baby name
Thanks! Your name rocks! A guy at work named his son Linden just 6 months ago. I love how it's a cool name, and it's a tree. We have had the easiest time finding boys names but girls names are driving us nuts. -Ravedave (help name my baby) 03:16, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

"Non-notable search engine, alexa rank of 1,492,908", can this be the only reason to delete the page. Every thing starts small. What is the minimum "alexa" ranking the wikipedia accept?Nishant makhija 05:58, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Black billionaires
Thank you so much for ending the fourth deletion nomination. I personally think that by the time an article is nominated for the fourth time, the Delete votes should be required to outnumber the keep votes by more than 4 to 1 for it to be deleted. Nominate it a 5th time & the delete votes should be required to outnumber the Keep votes by more than 5 to 1. Repeated nominations are just abusing the process because the article has to get lucky every time, and the deleter only has to get lucky once. Anyways, thanks again. Editingoprah 06:03, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Economist reader userboxes
I kind of preferred the Economist Userbox the way that it was; it was intended to be slightly humorous. It is, after all, a Userbox and not an article; anyone who disagrees is not forced to put it on their user page (or they can create their own userbox). Legis 07:32, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe we should balance it by creating a fresh userbox "This user thinks that The Economist is full of sh**." I'll wait and see if anyone else lodges complaints before reverting it though. Legis 07:41, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image deletion
- thx for speedy deleting thumb|220px|Largo do Casino (Casino Square). but you don't need to remove the images from the articles, i've uploaded that same image to commons, it was just a duplicate. thx.--Pedro 10:13, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

I saw your comment on the above article and totally agreed with your comment. I tried rewriting to remove POV and would like your input. I removed your tags and replaced them with an {{unreferenced}} after my rewrite. Any comments, criticisms or suggestions would be appreciated on my talk page. [edit] chick corea
Hello
can you please review the Chick Corea wiki entry, there appears to be blatant use of this profile to publicise scientology. The page now has a direct link to the German scientology website as well as a scientology video. I find this objectionable.
Please take a look.
Thanks
damian.
[edit] Sabo edit
Thanks for taking such an interest in such a minor edit. Ellison is certainly not "all but assured," of the seat, and until a poll comes out with him up 25 points or more, it's more of a POINT OF VIEW than not. The term "Socially Progressive" is a legit term, and more accurately descibes the district than "liberal" does. In response to your request for a link to a verifiable source, I have provided one to Doug Grow's recent column in the star tribune. --V105memorial 19:05, 23 September 2006 (UTC)V105memorial
[edit] Theories on Columbus' Portuguese origins
Thanks for the revert on this article. I was concerned about 3RR, so I did not replace the tags. Since the changes could be considered vandalism, I suppose 3RR does not count, but I still decided to err on the side of caution. The entire article is suspect, in my estimation, since it espouses "theories" for which there is scant evidence. I do not believe that is the purpose we are supposed to be serving here. At any rate, thanks for your assistance. ---Charles 17:36, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] {{imposter}}
Nothing is wrong with it per se, however {{impostor}} itself got tfd'd and deleted, so at the time I removed it, it was a redirect to a non existant template. {{impostor}} now redirects elsewhere, feel free to recreate {{imposter}} doing likewise. --pgk 21:16, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks
For finally closing the Hong Tran AfD. Just a word of note -- I think there were several arguments for her notability, including citations and discussion of her press coverage, although with all the other mess in there I can definitely see how they would get obscured to anyone viewing that thing for the first time. For the record, I don't feel like I was participating in the "mudslinging", only making note that Nottingham was a primary advocate for deletion, and pointing reviewers to his previous contribs to help assess his credibility. The article was unfortunately submitted to AfD in the midst of an edit war (what I, as the primary author, still regard as a hatchet job) and was continually reverted by Nottingham to a highly-redacted and biased version that would make anyone think, on a surface reading, that Tran was not notable. Even though the AfD instructions encourage reviewers to look at the history of the article, I felt the need to point them to previous versions and edits, as many don't take the time. He apparently percieves my directing other users to his edits and his posts on other users' talk pages as personal attacks.
The reason why I think this AfD was unfortunate is because it was submitted by Bobblehead to supposedly "solve" an editor dispute, but now that it's over, nothing is solved; the article was not deleted, and Nottingham will still feel that the Tran article is biased and not notable. I was trying to seek mediation even before this AfD started, and hopefully this will take place. But in the meantime, Nottingham has been making similar recent edits to the Washington United States Senate election, 2006 page, and has not seemed to make much progress in terms of adopting a collaborative attitude. I have asked for some assistance from a couple of the admins who have given Nottingham warnings/advice on his talk page, one blocking him for uncivility -- note their warnings have been blanked by Nottingham multiple times -- but have had no further response from them. What I really need is for an admin to take a look at Nottingham's contribs and make a judgement. I don't mind if they do the same for me; I am more than willing to take constructive criticism, and I fully acknowledge that I was responsible for being one of the three participants (along with Bobblehead) in the original edit war (so far, I don't think Nottingham has even acknowledged that there was/is an edit war, much less that he was heavily involved). But I also think I have contributed some good material to Wikipedia. I can't see many real contributions (vs deletions/reversions or biased edits) in Nottingham's history, and I think that his behavior requires some further intervention. Thus far I've had a very difficult time getting any admin on Wikipedia to even look at this and comment.
Thanks, Emcee 22:31, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
