[edit] My talk page policy
Please add new stuff to the bottom of the page, where I can find it, thanks!! (Except for extending existing discussions).
I prefer if a discussion on a particular topic is held at one place, rather than flip flop back and forth between two user talk pages, where it becomes very hard to follow a thread, so if you start something here, please be sure to add this page to your watchlist so that you can tell when I reply!
Also, if I left something on your talk page, and you reply here, I will continue the thread here.

[edit] Re Thoughts on Wiki
I agree with everything you have said regarding WP, even though i have only been contributing for a relatively short time. I think in the early days, the open slather strategy was necessary in order to attain a critical mass of content, however now that this critical mass has been achieved i believe WP has enough momentum to be able to tighten up its policies. While i have a lot of respect for the project, I fear that it is all going to go to the dogs eventually unless something is done. It is fast becoming a soapbox for people to post anything they like (almost like a forum) and the problem is that Wiki is now too large to handle this with the current processes in place. Many times if you have a dissenting opinion, it is simply lost to the mob, even if yours is the right one. In my (albeit limited) experience, you can fight, however at the end of the day, it is like swimming against the rip - eventually you will tire and have to succumb. Its a shame that my view has come to this, however it is even more disappointing that I think the problem is increasing.Suicup 08:12, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] East Germany
Hello,
I have read your contributions to the Good Bye Lenin! Article and I think they are absolutely brilliant. I really like what you have said that the movie suggests that the unification germany was performed so fast that the east german state was not allowed to die with dignity. I believe you are exactley right with this assesment, not only about the movie, but in truth. I really believe that what you have said here is true. I wanted to ask you, what can you tell me about this? What are the general feelings in germany regarding this topic? Did the east German state really die with dignity? I am actually thinking in writing an article or book on the subject and would really appreciate if you could help me in elaborating. Thanks Kiske 07:15, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Beast of Dean??
This article is on the verify list. I notice you have had a few run-ins with the author before about referring to the Forest of Dean as the "Forest of Doom", etc. How about this article? Are there any such reports of weird beasties in the Forest? --Brianyoumans 10:46, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Not that I've ever heard of, but I haven't lived there for a very long time now.Graham 11:28, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I have heard of this creature if you are a forester then the moose pig is common knowledge (UTC)
[edit] Current Mac project collaboration
The current WP:MAC collaboration is Apple II family. Please devote some time to improve this article to featured status. — Wackymacs 13:49, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Court line pic
After all that about the colours, what ever happened to the Court Line picture you added to the 1-11 article? It's missing now, and I rather liked it. Maury 01:53, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image problem.
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Ford-corsairv466-70.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ford-corsairv466-70.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Also, the image is used under a fair use rationale, but it appears a free alternative could be made to replace it. Thus it fails our first fair use criterion. – Quadell (talk) (random) 13:43, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Vx magnum.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Vx magnum.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Roguegeek (talk) 17:37, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
