Exopthalmia? I couldn't help but notice Fortescue's wide-eyed stare (a la Marty Feldman) in her January 8, 1932, mug in Stannard's book. The narrative of her behavior coupled with the wide-eyed stare would suggest to me that she may have had an overactive thyroid gland. Aloysius Patacsil 21:35, Jun 14, 2005 (UTC)
