This graph details the Test match performance of Graeme Hick. It was created by me after a (public-domain) style by Raven4x4x. The red bars indicate the player's Test match innings, while the blue line shows his batting average in the ten most recent innings at that point. The green dots indicate innings in which Hick finished not out.
Notes:
- The batting average line cannot be calculated until the point at which Hick had played ten innings.
- The sharp upward jag of the blue line at the end of 1995 is not an error: it occurs because two early-1995 innings of 2 drop out of Hick's last 10 innings at that point. Equally, a few months later his high scores in mid-late 1995 themselves drop out of the "last 10", and so the moving average falls steeply.
This graph was generated partly with Microsoft Excel and partly manually in Paint Shop Pro, using data from CricketArchive.
