Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP

Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP (GH&R) is a law firm of about 70 attorneys, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. It has branch offices in West Chester Township, Butler County, Ohio and in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Founded in 1871 as Matthews and Ramsey, by Thomas Stanley Matthews and William Ramsey, it is the oldest general practice law firm in Cincinnati. It is a limited liability partnership.
In 1884 Lawrence Maxwell, Jr. joined the firm, which then became known as Ramsey, Maxwell and Matthews. The firm operated under various other names until 1943, when it settled upon its current name, honoring three of its attorneys, namely, Joseph S. Graydon, Joseph H. Head, and Hugh M. Ritchey.
A number of regionally and nationally known people, past and present, have practiced at this law firm, for instance:
- Nicholas Longworth, Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice and father of Congressman Nicholas Longworth
- Rufus King (grandson of Rufus King, a Massachusetts delegate to the Congress of the Confederation and Philadelphia Convention and signer of the United States Constitution; and also grandson of former United States Senator and Ohio Governor Thomas Worthington)

In 1996, GH&R was recognized by the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce with the Chamber's first ever Customer Focus Award.
