Grant Nordman

Roderick Grant Nordman (born January 19, 1950) is a City Councillor for the St. Charles Ward in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Nordman sits on the Protection and Community Services Committee.
Grant’s late father, Ric Nordman, served as the City Councillor for St. Charles Ward from 1974-1981 and MLA for Assiniboia from 1981 to 1988.
Nordman was elected to Winnipeg City Council October 25, 2006 after the retirement of two term City Councillor Peter De Smedt.
Nordman won 3,417 votes to defeat Kelly de Groot (2,727), Shawn Dobson (2,516) and Rene Lewis (1,520).
Previously, Nordman served as the President & CEO of the Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce. Nordman's years of work with the Chamber of Commerce in West Winnipeg included vigorous support of the Charleswood Bridge, Regional Business Development Zones (biz’s) and economic development in the Airport Area through the Winnipeg Airports Authority.
Nordman's other career highlights include ownership of Travel Options, a multi-million dollar full service travel company in the 80’s and 90’s.
In 1992 Nordman was awarded the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal by the federal government in recognition of his outstanding community service.
Nordman is a long time member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba and the Conservative Party of Canada.
Nordman has three sons: Kyle, Drew, and Rory. He resides in Westwood.
