Granny Made me an Anarchist: General Franco, The Angry Brigade and Me is the 2002 autobiography of well-known Scottish Anarchist, Stuart Christie. Christie recounts his radicalization through the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and Committee of 100, and his eventual imprisonment over his involvement with a plot to blow up the Fascist leader, Generalisimo Francisco Franco. Christie also deals with his alleged masterminding of the First of May Group's and Angry Brigade's bombing campaigns and subsequent time in prison while awaiting trial. Christie does a good job of not only telling his own story, but also painting a decent picture of the previous generation of anarchists whose epic battle of anarchism vs. fascism was played out in the Spanish Civil War). Christie leaves the reader hungry to know more of the next generation of pro-situ and anti-authoritarian groups.
