Grange is the birthplace of Lola Montez (born Eliza Rosanna Gilbert).

SPAR and Rooneys is the general stores in the village. The parish priest is Fr. Christy McHugh, a Sligo man by birth and widely acclaimed for his singing skills. Some of the local restaurants include Langs Bar & Restaurant and Wheelers (formerly Willies) locally renowned for its great taste in food and its helpful and charismatic chefs. As well as this the village now possesses a petrol station, a recent addition. Grange is also known for its great view of the mountain Benbulben.
