The 46th Grammy Awards were held on the February 8, 2004. They recognized accomplishments by musicians from the previous year. Beyonce Knowles was the nights biggest winner by taking home 5 Grammys. Alison Krauss won three awards at these ceremonies, bringing her career total then to 17, overtaking Aretha Franklin as the female artist with the most career wins (Franklin won her 16th here as well).
