Grainger Stadium

Grainger Stadium is a stadium in Kinston, North Carolina. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Kinston Indians minor league baseball team. It is owned by the city and leased by the ball club. In the past, it was the home stadium of the Kinston Eagles, the Kinston Expos, and the Kinston Blue Jays. It was built in 1949. It holds 4,100 people.
In September of 1979, the USSSA (slow-pitch softball) World Series was held in Grainger Stadium.
Grainger Stadium was the sight of the Carolina League All-Star Game in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1971, 1980, and 1988, and the California League/Carolina League All-Star Game in 2000.
In recent years, Kinston ownership has been using the name "Historic Grainger Stadium" whenever they refer to the ballpark.
