Graham Percy

Graham Percy is a noted illustrator of children's books. He was born and brought up in New Zealand. He studied Graphic Design at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1967 and becoming a freelance artist specializing in children's book illustration. He has over 100 books to his credit, some of which have been told or re-told by himself. he has illustrated numerous board books, pop up books and pull tab books. Among his most notable achievements:
- Design of the full-length animated film Hugo the Hippo in Hungary (1970 - 1972)
- Illustration for a TV adaptation of The Emperor's Nightingale which won the Prix d'Italia (1983)
- Illustrations for the Fantastic Flying Journey (1987) and Fantastic Dinosaur Adventure (1989) by the noted author and naturalist Gerald Durrell, both published by Conran Octopus
- Illustrations for The Woodland Gospels According to Captain Beaky and His Band, by Jeremy Lloyd, Faber and Faber (1990)
- Illustrations and text for Lullabies: Poems and Rhymes to Dream on, Running Press (1995) - this is a part of the Library of Congress Miniature Book Collection which has books of height 10 cm or less
- Design and illustration for the seies Graham Percy's Animal Tails, Random House (1995)
- Illustrations for the illustrated Mother Goose, Running Press (1997)
- Illustrations for the illustrated Grimms' Fairy Tales, Running Press (1997)
- Illustrations for the Wind in the Willows, HarperCollins (1997) joining the likes of Arthur Rackham and E. H. Shepard
