Grafenegg Music Festival

Starting from summer 2007, Grafenegg Music festival will be a new major international Austrian festival for classical music close to Vienna. The artistic director is pianist Rudolf Buchbinder. The festival's program will consict of symphonic and chamber music as well as recitals. International guest orchestras will be performing as well as Austrian Tonkünstler Orchestra, which serves as orchestra in residence. The first festival will start on August, 23rd, 2007 and last until September, 9th, 2007. The program of the first season will be announced in autumn 2006.
Currently two major venues are being built for the festival in the park of Castle Grafenegg. An open-air stage (capacity 1,650) as well as a new concert hall (capacity 1,250).
