Grêmio Recreativo Barueri, usually known as Grêmio Barueri, or simply as Barueri, is a Brazilian football club from Barueri, São Paulo state.

On March 26, 1989 [1], Grêmio Recreativo Barueri was founded as the official Barueri city representative in several different sports. [2].
From September, 1997 to June 1998, Grêmio Barueri had a partnership with Bandeirantes Bank. [2]
From August, 1998 to May, 1999, the club had a partnership with Mackenzie/Microcamp. During this partnership, in 1998, Barueri won the São Paulo State Men's Basketball Championship. Some time later, the club signed a partnership with Vasco da Gama, of Rio de Janeiro. [2]
In 2000, Barueri joined a partnership with Roma Incorporadora. During this partnership, the club, which was named Roma Barueri at the time, won the following titles: Campeonato Paulista Under-20 in 2000, and Copa São Paulo de Juniores in 2001, beating São Paulo in the final. [2]
In 2001, the club professionalized its football section, and disputed the Campeonato Paulista Série B/3, finishing in the 14th position. [2]
In 2005, Grêmio Barueri won the Campeonato Paulista Série A3, beating Palmeiras B in the final. [3]
In 2006, the club won the Campeonato Paulista Série A2, beating Sertãozinho in the final, being promoted to the following year's Campeonato Paulista first level. [4] In the same year, Grêmio Barueri disputed the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C for the first time, finishing in the fourth place, thus being promoted to the following year's Série B. [5]
