The Gower electoral ward covers the remote western part of the Gower Peninsula in the City and County of Swansea, South Wales. The ward lies in the parliamentary constituency of Gower.

The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following villages and areas: Bishopston, Cheriton, Fairyhill, Horton, Ilston, Knelston, Landimore, Llanddewi, Llangennith, Llanmadoc, Llanrhidian, Middleton, Nicholaston, Oldwalls, Overton, Oxwich Green, Oxwich, Parkmill, Penmaen, Pennard, Penrice, Port Eynon, Reynoldston, Rhossili, Fforest, Hendy, Bolgoed, Crofty, Gorseinon, Llanmorlais, Pentrebach, Poundffald, Slade, Three Crosses and Upper Killay.

The ward is bounded by Penclawdd to the north east, Fairwood to the east and Pennard to the south east. It comprises a number of communities: Ilston, "Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton", Llanrhidian Lower, Penrice, Port Eynon, Reynoldston and Rhossili.

The Gower returns one constituency member to the National Assembly for Wales currently Edwina Hart. It votes in the South Wales West region which elects four list members.[1]

Swansea Airport is based in the district of Fairwood in Gower, about 6.5 miles west of Swansea city centre
