Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law

The School of Business, Economics and Law at Göteborg University or Handelshögskolan vid Göteborgs universitet is a business school in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was founded in 1923 and is a part of Göteborg University.
The school is situated in the centre of the city, between the districts Vasastan and Haga.
A first major extension of the school was made 1952 according to the designs of the architect Carl Nyrén (in Functionalistic style), the second extension was made 1995 and the style chosen for the new building was Neo-Functionalism.
The School is a natural rival of its more prestigious competitor, the Stockholm School of Economics.
