Talk:GOST

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GOST is part of WikiProject Soviet Union, an attempt to better organise information in articles related to the Soviet Union. If you would like to participate, you can edit the article attached to this page, or visit the project page, where you can join the project and/or contribute to the discussion.

It seems GOST and Gosstandard are two different things. GOST is the acronym for a set of national standards of the USSR, while Gosstandard is the name of the qusigovernment agency responsible for coordination of the standardization in the country.

[edit] What is it GOST RK?

If it means State Standards of Republic of Kazakhstan (RK), it is totally wrong. National Standards in Kazakhstan have abreviations like СТ РК (cyrillic) ST RK (latin). Eg ST RK 1048-2002 82.200.186.12 09:46, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
