[edit] History
[edit] Loudermilk
In 1995, in the Tri-Cities of Washington, hard rock quartet Loudermilk was formed when friends Davey Ingersoll, Mark Watrous, Shane Middleton, and Issac Carpenter came together with a common love of music in mind. They played together for three years, when they released their own independent album, Man With Gun Kills 3!, in 1998. American Recordings heard a demo of theirs, and subsequently signed them, giving Loudermilk major label attention. This attention would not last, however, and after touring with famous bands such as Mötley Crüe and Megadeth, they were dropped from American Recordings. Loudermilk were determined to make it, and didn't give up. They continued to play, and DreamWorks Records picked them up in early 2002. Several months later, they recorded their first official major label album, The Red Record.
[edit] Gosling
2004 was a year of change for Loudermilk. They modified their style, from hard rock to alternative rock, allowing them to try out many of the new diverse ideas they had. These concepts worked, and Loudermilk changed their name to Gosling accordingly. They released the Gosling EP under the new name in 2004, which received major radio airplay in their hometown. The public generally accepted Gosling's new sound. They signed a deal with V2 Records to release Here Is..., their first full-length album as Gosling, in 2006, and are currently touring along the west coast.
