Uh, what is this? "Mainly associated with Wolverine"? The Gorgon is an Inhuman and has been so since 1966. Who is this Johnny-come-lately? --Pc13 17:09, 2005 May 20 (UTC)

I suppose they chose to call this character The Gorgon because his power seemed to be reminiscent of that possessed by the Gorgon Medusa in Greek Mythology. This isn't the same character that's a member of the Inhumans. The Inhuman Gorgon has made only a handful of appearances within the past 15 years.
The Wolverine villain supposedly known as Gorgon died after a handful of appearances. The Inhuman known as Gorgon continues to appear on a regular basis throughout the Marvel Universe and expand on a history of nearly 40 years. I'm changing this article to focus on the Inhuman character and reducing the relatively obscure ninja to one or two paragraphs. --Pc13 23:14, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
I've moved the obscure ninja to his own article and changed this one to the more famous and more historically relevant Inhuman. --Pc13 16:35, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

In light of this new Gorgon (the Wolverine villain), should this article be changed to "Gorgon (Inhuman)"? Dr Archeville 02:32, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

We should use the official Marvel designations. So, they should be: Gorgon I (Marvel Comics) and Gorgon II (Marvel Comics). Wilfredo Martinez 16:34, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

I put the Merge template on the relavant pages as I saw them. Please remember to do that when propsing a merge :)

This proposal is to merge Gorgon (Wolverine villain) into this page. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 16:25, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge -- isn't it Wikipedia/WikiComics policy to keep characters with the same name done by the same publisher on one article/page? If so, the two Gorgrons should be on the same page. Dr Archeville 20:25, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge, the two can easily fit one page. Kusonaga 16:15, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge Tomi Shishido's dead, I can't see much needing to be added. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 16:22, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge since both can fit in one page (but Gorgon I clearly has priority.) Note that perhaps the page should be renamed "Gorgon (Marvel Comics)" as I suspect there are other Gorgon characters in comics. -Wilfredo Martinez 14:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Confirmed- There was a Gorgon in DC's Hybrid supervillain team, and I'll bet there are others, including the actual mythological gorgons. -Wilfredo Martinez 20:30, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Keep - These are two different characters.--Gonzalo84 18:49, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Merge is done -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 17:43, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
