Gorse Trilogy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gorse Trilogy is a series of three novels, the last published works of the author Patrick Hamilton. The books follow the career of Ernest Ralph Gorse, a psychopathic petty criminal. The first volume was described by Graham Greene as "the best book written about Brighton", the last volume was dictated by Hamilton, who by that time was in extremely poor health, and is widely regarded as his worst novel.[citation needed]
