Gordafarid

Gurdafrid (Persian: گردآفريد) is one of the heroines in Ferdowsi's Shahnama. She was a champion who fought against Sohrab (another Iranian hero who was the commander of Turanian army) and could for a while stop the Turanian troops who were marching to the land of Iran. She is a symbol of courage and wisdom for Iranian women in Shahnameh.
