[edit] Buffyverse characters

Hi, I notice you've recently been contributing to a fair amount of Buffyverse characters. You are also making a fair amount of spelling mistakes in your contributions; they are fairly minor, like 'stenght' instead of 'strength' and 'mysthical' instead of 'mystical', but it would be great if you could please try to use correct spellings, or use a spellchecker. Also you are just changing the names of some characters, like Lindsey McDonald and Cyrus Vail. These are the names we are using on Wikipedia, please don't change them without at least discussing it with other people. There are varied sources for these names and we would prefer to use the ones we have been using for a while. Thanks. --Cooksey 18:32, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Characters

The name Cyvus Vail is not universally accepted. Check:

TV.com: http://www.tv.com/not-fade-away/episode/276679/recap.html

Inkworks (They made the Angel trading cards): http://www.inkworkscards.com/products/angel/angel5/angel5cklist.htm

SpoilerSlayer: http://www.spoilerslayer.com/archives/002769.php

The name is disputed and because at Wikipedia, Cyrus Vail was used first, that is the one we should stick to. --Cooksey 19:48, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] 'List of Buffyverse-related topics' up for deletion

[edit] Request for edit summary

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 11% for major edits and 45% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 11 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear inpolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 03:37, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Buffy Checklist

Hiya, just letting some people who regularly work on Buffyverse articles know know there is now a checklist for non-episode articles in place to highlight articles needing work on, and articles coming into completion. It is available at the main project page, since this is where the 'WikiProject Buffy template' on the discussion page of all Buffyverse pages directs people:

It mainly discludes articles since they are dealt with at Wikipedia:WikiProject Buffy/Episodes

[edit] Demon (Buffyverse) article

There's now an article for Demons in Charmed. If Charmed has its own demon article, I believe its our duty to create an article for Buffyverse Demons, as the Buffyverse is way more complex than Charmed.--Gonzalo84 04:45, 5 March 2006 (UTC) (from discussion at Talk:WikiProject)Buffy

Hiya, I thought as the resident Buffyverse baddie expert you might be interested to know I started 'Demon (Buffyverse)' but it is in a very bare-bones' state. I agree that an article like this is needed in the tradition of articles Slayer (Buffyverse), Vampire (Buffyverse), Watcher (Buffyverse). These core four have a prominent role in the 'Buffyversenav' template as the whole of the 'Key Terminology' section. Starting the article I found it surprisingly difficult to clearly explain what a 'demon' is to a non-Buffyverse fan, but it is one of the key characteristics of the Buffyverse, so the article is actually quite important IMO. -- Paxomen 06:40, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Functionally, Buffy demons are like Star Trek aliens; most species appear in only one episode, their characteristics are arbitrary . . . —Tamfang 08:10, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hellfire Club

Did you know that the Hellfire Club is a real entity? I noticed that you're listing fictional persons as members in a Category, which is incorrect. The name of the Category needs be changed to Category:Hellfire Club (comics) members and each individual article adjusted to match. Thank you. CovenantD 15:40, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mastermind (the chick)

Hello. I noticed that you poorly edited the article Mastermind (Marvel comics supervillainess) in attempt to move the article. I must mention that you did not use the proper resources to move the data. Copying and pasting is a big "No, no." since it violates the GNU Free Documentation License. Thus, your recent edits to Mastermind (Martinique Jason) and the above mentioned articlee have been undone. Please see Help:Moving a page or contact an Administrator for help before making future attempts at moving articles. Regards, ACS (Wikipedian); Talk to the Ace. See what I've edited. 02:15, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Children (comics)

What is this article you are requesting? --Chris Griswold 21:37, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

    • The Children are new group of supervillains in X-Men. There was also a group of Mr. Sinister's creations also called The Children, which ended up in the hands of John Sublime.--Gonzalo84 04:25, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note re cat deletion

Really, I know that the Marvel Book o the Dead category discussion is heading to the proper (IMO) resolution, but its usually not a good idea to depopulate categories prior to the discussion finishing. Syrthiss 02:13, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your Hellfire Club navbox thing

Hey I just got this from ChrisGriwold, who I also seem to clash with. I'm stubborn... he's stubborn... ah well.

  • "These navbox templates you've been adding are under discussion at the Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Comics#These_Infoboxes talk page. Please stop creating and adding these while we discuss them. Currently, the discussion appears to be going against their inclusion in articles, so you may want to join the discussion to present your opinion. Good luck.--Chris Griswold () 01:53, 11 September 2006 (UTC)"

This includes your Hellfire Club one you created. So dude, I guess if we want them kept we better start defending them otherwise they may do their little lets delete it and that would [CENSORED] me off!.

[edit] Featured article candidate review: Buffy article

Hi

Just letting WikiProject Buffyverse members know that the article 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' has recently been nominated as a candidate to become a featured article. Should it become a featured article, it will be possible for the article to appear on the Wikipedia main page on March 10th 2007, the 10th anniversary of Buffy (the premiere, "Welcome to the Hellmouth" aired March 10th 1997).

Any feedback you can offer to improve the article and/or to either object or support the nomination would be wonderful:
