Talk:Golden Share

Why do we need to know how to say "golden share" in Russian? Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 01:40, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

The initial article was created to explain Zolotaya Aktsiya, and later it was supplememted with Golden Share in other countries. I have zero familiarity with the subject, but I feel like you've got a point here, since Google gives only 133 hits for that. Probably it should be moved as a minor note in the paragraph about Russia, since there is a redirect(you know those newspapers starting articles with introduction to a foreign word, so just in case someone will seek explanation after reading that sort of thing)–Gnomz007(?) 04:28, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Commented Section

This was commented on the article page, I've moved it here:

A golden share can veto all other shares and can be useful in takeover bids....Since most companies have to live with the risk of takeover bids, this seemed rather unfair... (not sure if its possible with Russian golden shares) http://www.likvidation.ru/Public/20040203134643Public.html - analisys in Russian
