So, there are no McDonald's in Iraq? RickK 22:32, Jul 24, 2004 (UTC)

You were probably after a response which came somewhat earlier, but here I am, anyway. [1] says that McD may be opening up "next year", and was written in 2003. Either way, it would appear that at the time of the U.S. invasion, there were no McDonald's in Iraq, even if there could (according to the prediction in that article) be McD there by now. - Vague | Rant 02:02, Mar 13, 2005 (UTC)

Was the first edition of The Lexus and the Olive Tree published before the bombing of Serbia, as the article currently states? I think Friedman's Golden Arches theory was proposed in that way partly to be provocative, which it succeeds in doing, I must say. -- Sam Francis

Is there anyone who claims Hezbollah owns McDonald's franchises? --Smelendez 04:34, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Single Arch

Now I recall going to a McDonald's in Biloxi, Mississippi in 2000 and seeing the original single arch sign with Speedee, standing in front of the retro-looking restaraunt building. I'm not sure what other restaraunts still have the original single arch signs, but I'm certain that the one in Biloxi was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. Wslupecki 00:38, 4 August 2006 (UTC).
