From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stocked Golden perch, Googong Dam, March 2002, Codman 01:07, 24 September 2005 (UTC). A large female Golden perch. Note the belly heavily distended with roe (eggs), the dorsal spines (unfortunately partially obscured by a rock), and the fishing lure in its mouth. Golden perch from impoundments are deeper-bodied and more heavily built than river fish due to greater food resources. This Golden perch was released.
