Goldface is a DC Comics fictional character, originally a foe of Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). He was first seen in Green Lantern #38 (July 1965)

[edit] Character history

Keith Kenyon was a criminal scientist changed when he drank an ancient gold-based serum of his own creation which granted him superhuman strength and invulnerability. The elixir also gave him a golden glow, apparently as a side effect of the serum. Of course, being close enough to yellow meant that Green Lantern's power ring could not affect him directly, making him particularly formidable against the superhero. He was first defeated by the Green Lantern when he was stealing the sunken gold the formula needed. He began to refine his criminal ways by wearing gold-plated armor and using a "gold-gun" which sprays liquid gold. After many clashes with Green Lantern, Kenyon decided to change his motif and ruthlessly began taking over criminal empires.

He eventually moved to Central City and became a foe of the Flash II (Barry Allen). In recent years he apparently let go of his villainous ways. After serving his time, he moved to Keystone City and, following in his father's footsteps, became an honest Commissioner of Union 242. Overtime, his elixir has slowly turned his skin into an organic gold flesh. He is currently a supporting character in the stories of Wally West, the current Flash, prominently featured in a story arc that had his ex-wife, Blacksmith and her rogues and Network taking over Keystone and Central City.

[edit] Other media

In Justice League Unlimited, Goldface appears as a recent member of Gorilla Grodd's Legion of Doom when he is seen during the raid on Gorilla City turning the gorillas into gold. During the mutiny within the Legion of Doom, he sided against Luthor and was subsequently frozen by Killer Frost, along with the other mutineers.
