The Golden Boot is a trophy awarded each year to the winner of the Battle for the Golden Boot football matchup (set on the day after Thanksgiving) between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the LSU Tigers. The trophy was introduced to the series prior to the 1996 season.[1] It weighs approximately 175 pounds and is believed to be the heaviest trophy awarded in a college football rivalry.[2]
The trophy itself resembles the outline of the states of Arkansas and Louisiana connected, thus making a boot shape.
