Golddiggas, Headnodders and Pholk Songs is a covers album by The Beautiful South released in 2004. "Livin' Thing", "This Old Skin", and "This Will Be Our Year" were all released as singles.

In a bit of Beautiful South trickery, the track "This Old Skin" purports to be by an obscure band called The Heppelbaums and was believed by many fans to be in fact the one original track on the album. In 2006 these suspicions were confirmed by frontman, Paul Heaton during a Question and Answer session entitled "Ask the Band".[1]

A website for the hoax band (The Heppelbaums) was created in which many more clues to the real identity of the band were revealed. The domain was created on August 5, 2004, and is registered to Sony, the band's record label. The site however now simply redirects to Sony's main website.
