Gold Coast Water is responsible for the provision of potable and recycled water products and wastewater services throughout the Gold Coast, Queensland with a vision "to create a sustainable waterfuture for the City." Gold Coast Water was established as a Directorate of the Gold Coast City Council in June 1995.

The Gold Coast has three water sources – Hinze Dam, the smaller Little Nerang Dam and Wivenhoe Dam. Water quality is maintained through the management of the catchment’s land, water and biological resources. Gold Coast Water have commenced construction of a desalination plant at Tugun. A pipeline is also under construction that will share Gold Coast water with the rest of South East Queensland.
