Godfrey Davies

Godfrey Davies (1892-1957) was a respected English historian of the seventeenth century. His most widely used works today are his contribution to the Oxford History of England on The Early Stuarts and his Bibliography of the Seventeenth Century. He lived the latter part of his life in San Marino, California where he was a librarian at the Huntingdon Library and was elected a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy in 1955.
