Stunning Goat Rock Beach and its companion, Blind Beach, are beaches near the town of Jenner, California. They are situated on either side of Goat Rock, where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. Goat Rock Beach is a sub-unit of Sonoma Coast State Beach, owned by the State of California.

The sand is a coarse, black and gray rock. Driftwood and kelp commonly wash up on the beach. The beach is a common resting ground for seagulls, harbor seals, and sea lions. Due to a steep slope into the water that leads to an underwater ditch parallel to the waterline, rip currents are common. Due to these potential safety risks, swimming is strictly off limits and a 50 yard distance is kept between visitors and the marine mammals. There are restroom facilities, a parking lot, and picnic tables.

Along Goat Rock and the adjoining beaches, huge rock outcroppings are found both on the shore and a small distance out. Among these massive structures are natural arches.

The final scene of The Goonies was filmed at Goat Rock Beach.
