Upon his successful career at Real Madrid, Santiago Munez (acted by Kuno Becker) goes back to his homeland to compete in the FIFA World Cup 2006 for Mexico

Filming for Goal! 3 started in June/July of 2006, during the actual World Cup. The film will feature some of the players from the Mexico squad.
