| What should be featured?
There's practically no restrictions about what kind of news should be featured in the page, but it's preferable that these announcement are notable and affects the Wikipedia community.
Examples include: news and updates about projects, policies, proposals, portals, collaborations, surveys and their results, admins, tools, important issues or anything weird happening...
What shouldn't be featured!
- New articles, templates, categories, requests, votes for deletion, nominations... unless they're are notable and affect the community.
- Information about Wikipedia in the news. Visit instead Wikipedia:Press coverage.
And keep in mind that:
- This is not an invitation place (eg. do not post "There's a new wikiproject about insects, come and join", but "A new wikiproject about insects have been created").
- This is not a page to request comments about news and updates, and users should not comment on these announcements. Visit instead the Wikipedia:Village pump (news).
- Be bold. You don't have to take the permission to post. Just announce what you want, and if it really don't fit, someone will just remove it.
