GNU Solfege is a computer program written to help people do ear training. It is free software, as defined by the GNU Project. It contains exercises to train chords, intervals, scales, rhythms and harmonic progressions. The program is designed to be easily extended by adding "lesson files" describing new exercises. Adding an exercise can be done by editing a plain text file in a text editor.

The program is portable and is known to run (as of 2004) on all Windows versions from Windows 95 to Windows XP, most modern Linux distributions, FreeBSD and Mac OS X. It is written in the Python programming language using the GTK+ toolkit.
