[edit] re:Ravi Belagere
In my experience, it is typical for such tags to only remain for a couple of hours. But in truth, the tag isn't really that useful for articles that aren't high traffic (articles are likely to be high traffic if they have a lot of pages that link to them, if they are linked to from high traffic pages, or the subject of the article has been in the news a lot) or for articles that aren't more than a couple paragraphs long (because the smaller an article is, the easier it is to expand it, as there is less text already there to fit your expansion into.)
This isn't to say tags aren't useful; if you want to do some expansion on, say, Sri Lanka or spaghetti, such tags are very useful. But there isn't that much need for them on small articles, non-high traffic articles. Also, other editors who don't know what your plans are (like me, in this case), are likely to remove the tags because it doesn't look like such expansion is in the midst of happening. You can insert a hidden message in the article by putting it in brackets like <!-- these -->; in this case, it might be useful to use those hidden message brackets to make note of how long you intend for the template to stay. You can also use the talk page make note of pending expansions, and how long they will take. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Picaroon9288 00:48, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Three-Revert Rule
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. Stifle (talk) 15:32, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hampi Utsava 2006
Karnataka is abode of its rich art, culuture and heritage. The Government of Karnataka has adopted a tradition of celebrating 'Nada Utsava' throughout the state, in order to rejuvenate and promote this rich culture and heritage and to inculcate the spirit and joyous feelings and respect about our heritage among the common man.
The monuments of Hampi are the replica of the then political, cultural, religious and social events of thrilling nature. The purpose of celebrating 'Hampi Utsav 2006' is to recollect and represent the the glorious rule of Vijayanagara Empire. The organisation of this Utsava besides providing the experience of rich cultural heritage of the region and the nation at large, also aims to provide joyous moments to the common man in the midst of pains and pleasure of his daily routine life.
Hampi Utsava dates - Nov 3 - Nov 5 Gnanapiti 04:30, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kuvempu sign.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kuvempu sign.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Chalukya
Gnanapiti, the article has been accepted as a FA. I would like to thank you for your efforts in making this happen as a team.Dineshkannambadi 16:08, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cpedit
Hi. Thanks for starting on this. Just one thing I wanted to point out (from the Chalukya page FA review experience) is that FA reviewers may not like repeated wikilinking of the same word (for example Veera Ballala II). I had to removed a whole lot of links that were repetitive.Dineshkannambadi 02:00, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] linking
I think many of your links are good. Like linking Tamil to Tamilkam at times etc. Also, there is no need to use the "CE" (common era) every where. People understand from the first lines of the article that we are discussing about CE not BCE as this is clearl mentioned there. Thanks for your effort. Focus equally on any grammatical mistakes, typos from my side.ThanksDineshkannambadi 02:31, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
