20 cloves followed by 30 cloves?
Why not just say 50?
[edit] beer in the glögg?
This recepie seems a bit odd... i've never drinked glögg with beer int it (of course there are many versions but maybe a more conservative and classic one should be presented here?...)
Okay i edited this
What is "dl"?
That's decilitre, the mainly SI using countrie(most of the world ;)) use it for small volumes. In fact it's not an SI base unit or unit at all. but it is easy derived from SI sicne one litre is the same as one dm ^3 (cubic decimeter).
I can understand it being hard to understand for people unfamiliar with SI. What could be done is
- Wikify the units in the article (i'll do that now)
- Note both litre and ounces etc. (did this too!)
- talk in parts, this wouldn't work though with the spices ivolved.

- The shorter explanation is that a decilitre is one tenth of a litre. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 11:52, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- The problem was about ounces vs. litre, nut this is not really anm issue anymore since the recipe has been moved out from the article Gillis 16:38, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- There are far more people unfamiliar with US customary units than there are people unfamiliar with SI units. Why must 95% of the world's population always take into account the wishes of the remaining 5%, when the opposite seems to be the case far less often? Isn't it time the one remaining country not to use SI finally gave in and stopped holding back progress? JIP | Talk 08:14, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- Then again this is the english speakign wikipedia, and the majority of the natively english speaking world does not use SI. But as wikipedia should not be a cook book i think remaining to parts is a better idea for rough examples on recipies. But the unit question itself is a bit bigger than what concerns this debate :) Gillis 17:11, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

- This should indeed be merged with mulled wine. It's not really unique enough to deserve a separate article.

- I don't think that's necessary, as glögg made out of wine is just one variation of glögg. Gillis 15:38, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- Most glögg is still basically mulled wine and the vodka-based drinks are variations on the wine-based theme. The main article is still just a stub, with half the content being about glögg as it is. Other than trying to push the uniqueness of the Scandinavian variants, which is always questionable for encyclopedic purposes, I don't see why they shouldn't be merged.
- And the title... I mean, "glogg"? It's a rather bizarre compromise.
