Glossop Road Baths

Glossop Road Baths is a building in Sheffield which houses a swimming pool and turkish baths. An indoor swimming pool was opened on the site in 1836, and was significantly expanded in 1877 to include a second, larger, swimming pool , a hairdresser and a turkish bath suite. In 1898 the complex was bought by the city council. After a period of decline, the building was fully modernised and reopened as 'Spa 1877' in 2004.
