Global Politician

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Global Politician is a world wide web-based news site which publishes analysis of current events by contributing authors, as well as interviews with politicians, analysts, military and intelligence officials, and even terrorists.

The journal goes beyond traditional news and analysis found in mainstream media and publishes about events missed by BBC, CNN and the New York Times. While the magazine itself is unbiased, all viewpoints are allowed, so some articles do present a strong point of view. However, reviewing the articles, one finds viewpoints ranging from right to left, from capitalist to communist, from pro-American to strongly critical of the United States as an empire, from Zionist to Islamist. The Global Politician avoids paranoid conspiracy theories, self-promotion, personal attacks.

It solicits articles for publication on its web site, but stipulates that the authors must be notable. It defines this as:

  • Be a published author or journalist; or
  • Have an advanced degree (Master's, Ph.D., J.D. or equivalent) in a related field.
  • Be a recognised expert who has been interviewed in the media or otherwise recognised for his expertise.

The Global Politician was founded in October 2004 and is based in New York.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Global Politician is David Storobin, a New York attorney. The web site for his law practice can be found at http://www.storobin.com. Before founding the Global Politician, David Storobin was the last editor of the Eurasian Politician, which originated in Finland in May 2000.
