Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin

The Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (established 1989) is an organization promoting the interests of the Indian diaspora.
The organization organizes an annual convention in India, as well as topical or regional conferences around the world.
As of 2006, the organization has chapters in eighteen nations: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, Guyana, Mauritius, Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Suriname, Switzerland, Trinidad, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Zimbabwe, as well as India.
