The Global Gaming League is a gaming league that sponsors tournaments of many video games including:

Tournaments include the prestigious AmeriCup & EuroCup leagues, as well as various GGL and ClanBase tournaments.

Also awards the Golden Llamas.

GGL connects millions of video game players around the globe so they can access content of interest, meet and socialize, and compete via proprietary online tournament playing technology.

GGL produces live video competitions worldwide and produces streaming online video “SportsCenter™” – style coverage of video gaming events and news. AmeriCups Season I showcase America's finest players and teams in a rigidly organized weekly league competing for top honors and over $50,000 cash.

AmeriCup is an online league with cash, prizes, and the toughest competition North America has to offer. Being involved with AmeriCup entitles you to top level competition, be featured in league coverage by GGL.com and affiliates, and qualify for live events — similar to the ATP Tennis Tour.

This season the AmeriCups boasted $50,000 in prize money and gave 5 AmeriCup competitions lan finals in New York city. The following games received lan finals: Call of Duty, Counter-Strike 1.6, Quake 3 2vs2, UT2K4 4v4 TDM, & Warcraft 3 1v1:

The Commissioner: "Hip-hop icon and true innovator Snoop Dogg is the inaugural Commissioner of the HHGL. Snoop oversees the League with his love of gaming and fire of competition. As a founding father, Snoop is putting his personal stamp on the League – recruiting players, settling disputes, enforcing league rules and creating interesting wrinkles and twists… In short, The Doggfather runs the show."

14 of Hip-Hop’s Best Gamers: An eclectic group of hip-hop personalities ranging from A-list hip-hop artists, actors, athletes and radio personalities – all with mad video game skills, all competing for the title of HHGL World Champion.

Regular Season and Playoffs: For six weeks players will battle it out. Each player will play a total of 12 games. The top players from each conference will qualify for the playoffs, for a total of eight players. The first round of playoffs will be played online. The games played could be the same for all four matches, or could be different — it is entirely up to the Commissioner and the HHGL.

Live Finals Event: The Final Four will be a live event that mixes intense video game play, musical performances and a big party in Hollywood. When the HHGL World Champion has been crowned, the Commissioner will present the trophy and deliver cash and prizes.

Seasons: Season 1 is finished. Season 2 is scheduled for Fall 2006.
