Glion (グライオン Guraion?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Glion in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
[edit] Appearance
Glion appears to be a more sinister form (again, without the Intimidate ability) of Gligar whose limbs are seemingly independent of its bat-like wings and a narrow waist. It also has two barbs on its tail, instead of Gligar's one.
[edit] In the video games
Glion will make its first appearance in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, along with many other Pokémon. Glion evolves from a Gligar that is holding the new item Sharp Fang and by leveling it up only at night.
