[edit] Mess photo
Hi Glen,
Welcome to wikipedia and all that
Can you indicate the source of the photo of officers in mess dress please? Its likely copyrighted; a good source of images is the US military which all of its contributions are public domain because of US law
Cheers,
Dunc_Harris|☺ 16:43, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Photograph is mine taken at a mess function. Glen
Okay, would you be willing to release it under the GFDL licence, see Wikipedia:copyrights, or alternatively make it public domain or non-commercially available. to do this you need to add an image copyright tag to the image. Dunc_Harris|☺ 16:54, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
P.S. You can sign your name on talk pages using ~~~~
PPS Pelase feel free to ask me any other questions.

[edit] Image Tag
Hi, you uploaded Image:Wedding 030.jpg, Image:Wedding 011.jpg and Image:Wedding009.jpg I notice that they currently don't have image copyright tags. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Evil Monkey → Talk 08:08, Dec 12, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Venice photo
Hi Glen, do you still know where in Venice you made http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1c/Venice_Street_04563.JPG ? Although I know the city very well, I am currently lost. I am particularly interested in the building in the background. Cheers Jcr2 07:28, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC) --reply on your talk page

- Found it with the aid of the map. It is most probably Salizzada de la Chiesa at San Simeon. The building in the background is Hotel Principe, an ancient palace. You made the photo with a tele lens? Thanks, regards. Jan Jcr2 20:54, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Alberta Legislature
Hi. In the upload you claim that this picture is taken c. 1908. Is that accurate? The information is no longer included in the summary, that's why I ask. Thanks! Peregrine981 11:31, May 9, 2005 (UTC)

- Thanks! That helps clear things up. I'm going to move it to commons shortly. Peregrine981 08:06, May 10, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Venice Street 04563.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Venice Street 04563.JPG. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Could you add a tag to let us know its copyright status? (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much. --Nv8200p 18:03, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:KT boundary 054.jpg
Hi. This is a great photo, could you perhaps give us a geographic location and define just where on the image the boundary is. Thanks, Vsmith 23:07, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, taken in badlands near Drumheller, and will add that; however, I can not recall which black mark is the KT Boundary, and don't have enough skill to identify. Need someone of greater skill to put arrow line to identify.Glenlarson 23:37, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] drumheller
I moved your pictures of Drumheller to the commons [1]. However I noticed that the image cactus_046 [2] was missing a licence-tag. Since all others of your pictures are licenced under PD I just assumed you forgot to add this tag there. If that was wrong please let me know. -- Gorgo 18:20, 26 September 2005 (UTC) Ops. Done. Glen

==Image Tagging Image:Rexall 051.jpg==
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Rexall 051.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ccwaters 03:20, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Acropolis of Athens 01361.JPG
hi Glenlarson, your image of the acropolis needs an updated tag. Since you took that image yourself, I think you should determine under which license you are releasing your own image. Please take a look when you can, thank you. Gryffindor 22:49, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:La Holla 015.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:La Holla 015.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
