Glenn Murray (born 25 September 1983 in Maryport) is an English football player who plays as a striker for Carlisle United. He is currently on loan at Rochdale until January 2007.

A player who played for non league side Workington Reds before joining American side Wilmington Hammerheads after his time in America he joined Barrow where he scored 9 goals in 9 games before joining the then Conference side Carlisle United and was part of the Confrerence play off winning team and League Two winning side. Now in League One Glen has some competition up front with Karl Hawley, Derek Holmes, Kevin Gall, Stephen Hindmarch and Pete Ferris.
Murray has gone to Stockport on loan for a month which could increase to 3 depending on performances. [1], but he returned to Carlisle after two months, following Karl Hawley's rib injury. Rochdale manager Steve Parkin then signed Murray on loan until January 2007.
