[edit] General
The Community of Glen Oak is located in California. The exact location is uncertain; however, it is possible that it is located south of San Francisco because Rose once said that she went "up" to San Francisco for a wedding dress and during the first season the hospital they go to is the Bay Area Hospital.
Glen Oak's population is uncertain; however it is a small town, in that everyone almost knows everyone since gossip gets around quickly.
Crime in Glen Oak is majorly present in the downtown suburban area as stated in the episode, "Happy's Valentine." The Glen Oak police station was not seen in the first season, but appeared later in the show. In the first season, the police were headquartered in a larger facility. This could indicate that the Glen Oak Police Department was founded within the timeline of the series.
