Glen Eden is a suburb of Waitakere.

According to the 2001 census, Glen Eden has a population of 6024. Glen Eden village is situated on West Coast Road. Most commercial premises in Glen Eden are either on this road or in Glen Mall, a small shopping centre nearby. The closure of Glen Eden's only supermarket caused much unrest in the community in the early 2000s. An apartment block has since been built on the site.

Glen Eden Train Station is currently being expanded to accommodate the double-tracking of the western train line from Auckland. Glen Eden is home to a new library which opened in 2004, the Playhouse Theatre, the oldest registered Scouts club in the country and a number of schools. The Glenora Rugby League team plays at Glenora Park.

Glen Eden is under the local governance of the Waitakere City Council and the New Lynn Community Board.
