Glen Avon is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 14,853 at the 2000 census.

Glen Avon is located at 34°1′2″N, 117°29′31″W (34.017313, -117.491855)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 19.2 km² (7.4 mi²). 19.1 km² (7.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.40%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 14,853 people, 4,740 households, and 3,242 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 777.1/km² (2,012.0/mi²). There were 4,936 housing units at an average density of 258.2/km² (668.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 60.79% White, 3.81% Black or African American, 1.54% Native American, 2.24% Asian, 0.20% Pacific Islander, 27.10% from other races, and 4.34% from two or more races. 47.17% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 4,740 households out of which 36.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% were non-families. 27.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.11 and the average family size was 3.79.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 30.8% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 99.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.5 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $37,152, and the median income for a family was $43,664. Males had a median income of $30,925 versus $23,927 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $14,943. About 13.6% of families and 17.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 25.9% of those under age 18 and 12.5% of those age 65 or over.
