Gleeman

A gleeman was a kind of performer in the Middle Ages. Gleemen were at least partially distinguished from other kinds of performer by their ability to juggle, which was sometimes credited to their supposed practicing of witchcraft.

A gleeman, Thom Merrilin, plays a large part in The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
