Glass Beach is an unusual beach hidden in Benicia, California. Instead of sand, the beach is covered in broken shards of glass. According to the locals, during the 1950s there was a bar situated above the beach. Instead of dumping their glass bottles, they would toss them down on to the rock below. Over time the glass smoothed out and is now safe for walking.
